Project Description
This project includes new built-up platforms, brand new millwork for the judges, witness, clerk’s and jury’s area, newly added wood ceiling tiles, carpet, acoustical wall panels and paint. Our team performed the majority of construction activity during regular hours of 6am- 2:30pm, however, all heavy construction and painting was performed on Fridays due to the closure of the building.
A significant amount of coordination has been involved with City of Henderson that associated all low voltage work (cameras, data, microphones, speakers) to incorporate the correct feeds through the new millwork package. Along with the coordination, this project carried two Architects, one for each courtroom, which all correspondence including, budgets, change orders, and billing needed to be submitted and tracked separately. SLA encountered issues with existing code violations which was not contract work and assisted City of Henderson to resolve issues. The original duration of this project to complete was 86 days and was extended to 122 days due to the extent of the millwork review and fabrication, which did not affect any opening dates.
