Project Description
The Heart of the City Parking structure is an important part of the 52 acre Heart of The City long range redevelopment plan for the City of Burnsville. Heart of the City is a multi-phase planned development that creates a transit-supported retail, civic, cultural, and residential core centered around the intersection of Burnsville Parkway and Nicollet Avenue.
Major features of the development include the Ames Center for Performing Arts and the City of Burnsville Civic campus. The Heart of the City parking structure is connected to the Ames Center as well as several multi-family developments. It is a 2-level, post-tensioned structure with direct vehicular access to each level and interior vertical circulation. It has capacity for 350 vehicles. The precast exposed exterior features a brick veneer finish.
